On April 25th from 6:30 to 9:30, the Ocean Isle Museum Foundation hosts Wine Fest, the Foundation’s biggest fundraiser, at the Museum of Coastal Carolina. The Museum of Coastal Carolina is located at 21 East Second Street in Ocean Isle Beach, NC. Proceeds from Wine Fest benefit the Museum and its sister facility, Ingram Planetarium, in Sunset Beach.
Wine Fest offers a chance to listen to live music by Wilmington musician Teddy Burgh, taste interesting wines, sample great food from local restaurants, and participate in live and silent auctions. Live auction items this year include trips to Costa Rica, Napa Valley, and New Orleans. The auctioneer is also auctioning off some large anchors – the ultimate in coastal “yard art.” This year’s tasty treats are provided by Causeway Gourmet, Pelican’s Perch, and Sharky’s. There is a “Cork Pull” where attendees can purchase one or more wine corks and are guaranteed a bottle of wine in return for each cork purchased. Try your luck at a “Cork Guess” where attendees buy guesses to the number of corks displayed inside a large wine bottle; the three closest guesses are the winners. Most importantly, Wine Fest offers a chance to spend a great evening with neighbors and friends while supporting two wonderful local facilities.
The theme for this year’s Wine Fest is New Orleans jazz. Feel free to wear your Mardi Gras mask to the event!
Reservations for Wine Fest are $50 per person and are available now by calling the museum at 910-579-1016. Tickets may also be purchased at the door on the night of the event.
