Paws-Abillity’s 4th Annual Poker Run on Bicycle will be held on Saturday, Oct 11, 2014 starting at 1:30pm. All proceeds from the event will be spent in Brunswick County for various projects involving local animal rescue groups, animal shelters and animal related programs that benefit our community. The Winds Resort Beach Club will host a card draw site for participants as they ride along the streets of Ocean Isle Beach. The breathtaking view of the ocean and the Inter Coastal Waterway will encourage bicycle riders to complete the designated route.The fee is $25 per rider/ $15 for children.
Participants will ride to various destinations on the island collecting playing cards to form a poker hand. Each participant’s hand will be played at the end party where prizes for BEST poker hand and WORST poker hand will be awarded. Food including hot dogs, hamburgers, pizza, bbq and cookies will be served to participants after the ride. There will also be a silent auction held and entertainment for everyone.
